SBCC - End Malaria Council

Cause-Impact Limited (CIL) partnered with End Malaria Council (EMC) Kenya to provide strategic public relations services and lead the design, planning, and execution of a nationwide Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) campaign.

Execution

Campaign Execution – “Tambua, Thibitisha, Tibu Malaria, Okoa Maisha!” CIL developed and launched the “Tambua, Thibitisha, Tibu Malaria, Okoa Maisha!” (Detect, Confirm, Treat Malaria, Save Lives!) campaign — a highly engaging, data-driven initiative blending community dialoguecreative storytelling, and digital amplification.

We kicked off with community dialogues in key counties, using Forum Theatre to dive deep into local perceptions and barriers. These insights fuelled our message development, which was then fine-tuned in workshops and pre-tested with real communities.

The campaign was officially launched by the Cabinet Secretary for Health on 25 April 2024, with high-energy roadshowsinteractive Q&As, music, and dance to boost public participation.

Digital Media: We implemented a multi-channel strategy, creating engaging content and running targeted ads. Collaborations with influencers, the Ministry of Health, and malaria partners ensured strong engagement across social platforms.

Media Relations: We ensured EMC’s prominent media presence by crafting compelling press releases, securing interviews, and placing thought-leadership pieces, ensuring continuous coverage of critical malaria issues.

Event Management: CIL organised key workshops, forums, and stakeholder meetings to push for malaria financing and ensure the issue remained on the national agenda.

Content Creation: CIL created compelling infographics, videos, and reports that effectively communicated EMC’s messages to a broad audience.
